Running Shoe Review: Saucony Ride 15

Saucony Ride 15 in color Prospect Glass

If there is one piece of gear that is the most important during marathon training, it would have to be running shoes. A quick disclaimer: I own more than one pair of running shoes, and I often rotate different pairs throughout my training (easy day shoes, speed work shoes, race day shoes, etc). However, there is one shoe that has recently become a staple in my training: the Saucony Ride 15.

First, a little about my running style: I am a mid-foot striker who prefers a shoe with a comfortable and responsive fit. I also tend to put a lot of miles on my shoes, so durability is an important factor for me. I am training for the Boston Marathon, so a comfortable yet durable shoe is a must have.

With that said, I have been extremely impressed with the Saucony Ride 15. From the moment I put them on, I could tell that they were going to be a comfortable shoe. The fit is true to size and Saucony’s PWRRUN cushioning provides just the right amount of support and responsiveness. I’ve worn the previous model of the Saucony Ride, and the 15’s are a great upgrade. They are lighter and softer than their previous model.

One of the things I love most about these shoes is their durability. Despite putting in a lot of miles on them, the Saucony Ride 15s have held up remarkably well. The outsole shows minimal wear and the upper is still in great condition. I run primarily on pavement, and my shoes are holding up great upwards of 300 miles.

In terms of style, the Saucony Ride 15s are a winner as well. They come in a variety of colors to suit your personal style and the design is sleek and modern. I’ve purchased both the Cool Mint and Prospect Glass colors and loved them both!

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Saucony Ride 15s. This shoe has become my go to shoe for easy runs, long runs, and even some uptempo runs. They have exceeded my expectations in terms of fit, durability, and style, and I would highly recommend them to any runner looking for a comfortable and reliable shoe.
